Tea as Devotion to Earth and Stillness

Mojave House of Tea is a ceremonial space where earth, tea, and time weave together in quiet reverence. Rooted in Cha Dao or “The Way of Tea”, our offerings invite you into deep presence — through private tea ceremonies, intimate group gatherings, and retreat experiences shaped by stillness and silence.

Tea is an ancient ritual—a quiet, embodied prayer shared between water, leaf, and fire. In ceremony, Tea becomes more than drink; it becomes a mirror. A slow unfolding. A return. Rooted in plant wisdom and shaped by silence, the practice invites us to listen deeply, feel fully, and remember our place within the Mystery. Here, presence is the path. Stillness, the teacher. Reverence, the rhythm.

“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.”

~ Thich Nhat Hanh
